What a great weekend in St. Louis! Toy, Dana, Lisa, and I set out on Thursday morning for the Women of Faith conference in St. Louis. It didn't start until Friday evening at 7:00, but there was so much else we needed to accomplish! We went shopping, swimming (you won't see those pictures), and found all other kinds of things to do. You can see from the pictures we found the massage chairs. The conference was uplifting and encouraging, as usual. The speakers and comedians were fantastic. My favorite part, though, is the music. Natalie Grant was there (with twins), Nicole Mullen, Sandi Patty, and Ayiesha Woods. I LOVE listening to their music, and we had a weekend of it--fabulous!
The best part of all was watching THOUSANDS of women come together judging no one. Every single heart had experienced or was experiencing some kind of hurt or been in close contact with someone who did. Outside the walls of a congregation that can become complainers, these women were able to share with fellow women and listen to well known speakers and singers who have been through similar situations. No one complained about the type of music being played, or that someone was serving who was divorced, or that lunch was late, or that the kids shouldn't be dancing. It was pure worship. This was year 2. I'll be going back!!
